A Tribe Called Quest, Vans Collaboration
Art Direction, Design
The legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest collaborated with Vans to create a six-shoe collection, showcasing iconic Vans silhouettes. This collaboration pays homage to ATCQ members Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Jarobi White, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, featuring distinctive colorways inspired by the group's renowned album artwork throughout their illustrious career.
To celebrate this partnership, Vans hosted a pop-up event titled "Two Tribes Unite" at the Brooklyn House of Vans. This immersive experience offered fans a deep dive into Tribe's rich history through curated rooms filled with art, photography, and exclusive merchandise, providing a comprehensive tribute to the group's enduring legacy in hip-hop culture.
Due to the success of the collection and the overwhelming support from fans, Foot Locker reached out to the team to create a line of products that coordinates with each Vans sneaker.
